#17 Dr. John F. Boyce
September 24, 1825 – September 30, 1898
This is the gravesite of Santa Rosa’s first physician, Dr. J.F. Boyce. He was one of Santa Rosa’s earliest settlers and held the distinction of residing in the City longer than any other citizen when he died in 1898. He started his practice in Franklin and in the 1860’s built a large Italianate Victorian house which was relocated to B Street in the early 1900’s and still stands just south of St. Rose Church.
